Greg is one of the most knowledgeable sports fans in all of Northern Kentucky and prides himself on staying in tune with the teams and athletes in all of the major high schools sports. Kevin brings that perfect balance to the booth of former player, former coach and 10 years broadcasting experience. Kevin can dissect a play better than anyone in the business and always knows what the penalties are before even the referees do. He also brings a passion and excitement for the game of football to each and every broadcast and makes every listener feel like they are at the game.

Becky Tenkman Mirick

Becky is a 1995 graduate of Notre Dame Academy where she was the MVP of the 1994 State Campion Pandas in Volleyball. She was featured in the Sports Illustrated “Faces in the Crowd” in the November, 1994 issue. She was a 3 year starter and all state selection and was named NKY Player of the Year. She played her collegiate career at the University of Cincinnati where she was Conference USA Freshman of the Year and in 1997 became only the 3rd Bearcat to to have 1000 kills as a junior. She graduated the all time leader in kills, service aces, digs, block attempts and kill attempts!! And yes the sign says it all, she’s “Quality”.

Nell Fookes

Nell Fookes joined the (859) Sport Radio broadcast team in 2021 after 30 years on the bench as the Head Coach of the Boone County Lady Rebels. Nell retired after 30 years of coaching all with Boone County where she never had a losing record. Her 686-255 coaching record placed her 4th all time in the State of Kentucky for Girls’ Basketball. Nell’s 9 regional titles and 686 wins rank #1 in 9th Region History. Nell was induced into the Kentucky High School Hall of Fame in 2019

Doug Schloemer

Doug joined the (859) Radio team in 2020 after one of the most successful 9th Region basketball careers in history. Doug was named the first NKY player to be named Mr. Basketball in 1978, when he led the Bulldogs to the Kentucky State finals. Doug was a 4 year starter for Holmes and finished his career with 2617 varsity points ranking him #1 all time on the 9th Region scoring list.

Bert Richey

Bert made his (859) Sport Radio debut in the 2021 Boys State Basketball Finals, where the Highlands Bluebirds brought home their first Boys State title. Bert has been the head varsity assistant for the Highlands Girls’ Basketball team since 2009 where he coaches with his wife, Highlands Hall of Famer Jaime Walz Richey. Bert is also the Boys’ golf coach at Highlands where he’s made 5 trips to the state championship. Bert is a Scottsville, KY native.

David Hartman

David is a 1988 graduate of Holmes where he fell in love with High School sports. While a student at Holmes David played baseball for 5 years and basketball through his sophomore year. David has also coached baseball, football and basketball for the Bulldogs. A student of many games, Dave didn’t make his broadcasting debut until 2022 when Gary Huhn was honored for his 50 years of service at Holmes and no one was more qualified to speak about Gary and Holmes than David. David’s first love is baseball evident by his @DiamondDH Twitter handle. David solidified his position on the (859) Sports Staff in 2023 when he was the color analyst for more basketball games than anyone else on staff and was on the air for both the boys’ and girls’ 9th Region Tournament Finals. In March, David made his Rupp Arena debut during the girls Sweet 16 Basketball tournament.

John Campbell

John joined the (859) Sports Radio staff during the 2023-2024 basketball season.  John brings incredible insight into the game of basketball and his game preparation is unequaled.  John played high school - varsity basketball for 2.5 years for Rocky River High School in Ohio, and was all conference his senior year.  He attended The University of North Carolina and was the last player cut by Head Coach Roy Williams from the Tarheel JV team his sophomore year.  John says “it was fun to spend a month being coached by Roy”. He studied in England his junior year and scored 73 in a league game. You say “it’s England”. I say “I went for 73 - just like David Thompson.” He coached his children in recreational basketball for years.  Both sons Andrew and Daniel played basketball for the Conner Cougars.  He has also coached Special Olympics basketball for 10 years and has been watching 8th, 9th and 10th region hoops since 2009.
